Suited Up and Ready To Go

Wow, how fast time flies and how quickly life changes.
Today I was walking back from my job interview and I thought: 48 hours ago I was in a small english town working as a bartender, suddenly I'm in Poland's capital, fighting rushhour in a suit and trying to find a new place to stay.
The past 5 months have been like this, ever since graduation. There was a bit of a respite in Weymouth when we had most of the same people around us for 2.5 months, however there was still a constant flux in faces and experiences. Now, a new town and a new sea of faces. If anything, this trip is teaching me about the ups and downs shifting from place to place while vastly improving my social skills. Its like being thrown into a new school everyday! Remember that feeling of a new school on the first day? Everyone looking at you, teachers mispronouncing your name, all that stuff :-P

But I don't mean it in a bad way at all! It's fun to try this out, to see who I can meet. And so far I've met a lot of cool people. Here's a pic of just some of them, from my last night in Weymouth (which was absolutly historic by the way). I can't wait to have some of these people visit me in Poland...or Canada...or go see them wherever! It'll be great!
So now I wonder who I'll meet here.
By the way, i've been treated like a king by everyone since I arrived here. Adam and Krystyna who are letting me stay in their apartment, are pretty much pampering me like a royal. And My aunt/uncle/cousin are also going to no end to help me out with any little question I have. It's good to have good friends!

You look so adorable and fancy in your suit. Frankly, I think it's wasted over there in Poland. I know someone in the USofA who would be much more impressed by your suited self.
I'm glad it sounds like you're enjoying yourself and not freaking out in the face of all this newness. You're going to do great things.

ps. Is there something on your face in that Weymouth picture?
aaand, way to rock the different patterns on your shirt and tie. That's some Swanberg style, right there.

Hey buddy! You're having fun as it seems. Your hair looks nice and smooth. You kind of remind me of a greaser from the Outsiders (If you ever read that book, you'll know what I mean).
Good news! Me and my buddies are planning to have a Eurotrip after university too! And we're planning to make a band too, and we only have 4 guitarists and a keyboard player, so I think I'll try to learn the drums. You got any good ideas for band names? The best one I can think up of is Thomas And The Pussycats.
Miss ya! :-)
PS tell Adam and Krystyna, and Agata and friends hi for me (+ a hug for each).

Since you have the guitar there are no more updates of your blog. Maybe Agata should take it back from you?

I believe that's some glare on my face in that photo.
But then again, I've been known to parade around with day old food in my beard sometimes so who knows
